PRE & POST NATAL CARE IN DURANGO
Chiropractic Care is a gentle, non-invasive approach to correcting, stabilizing, and maintaining optimal health of the spine and pelvis. Completely safe throughout pregnancy, Chiropractic care helps the body work better and, ultimately, improves the quality of life and potential birth outcomes.
CHIROPRACTIC AND PREGNANCY
During pregnancy, a woman’s body undergoes dramatic changes, both structurally, chemically (hormones), and emotionally. Chiropractic care during pregnancy can help make pregnancy more comfortable and prepare a woman’s body for a smoother, safer delivery.
When performed by a trained doctor of chiropractic like Dr. Danielle, the Webster technique – a specialized approach to chiropractic adjusting for pregnant women – is extraordinarily effective in reducing back pain, maintaining pelvic floor symmetry and stability and, in some cases, reducing labor times.
We believe that if you're under chiropractic care durning your pregnancy, your chiropractor should be certified in the Webster technique.

We believe that those who have access to chiropractic care in addition to midwifery, doula services and other holistic birthing education strategies early and often throughout their pregnancies are significantly more likely to follow their birth plans, reduce the need for medical intervention and deliver healthier babies.
POST NATAL CHIROPRACTIC
Prenatal patients are generally diligent about their care during their pregnancy, but what about after the baby comes? Once the delivery happens, many new moms put the focus on the baby, and forget to look after themselves. But, Chiropractic Care can help speed the healing process and ensure healthy postpartum rehab.
At Atlas Specific, care does not stop once the baby arrives. Specialized Chiropractic Care is used to help the body recover and adapt to the new physical and emotional challenges of motherhood. During the postpartum period Chiropractic treatment can help new moms to ease pain, regain mobility, and start feeling like themselves again.
Many aspects of postpartum life contribute to poor spinal health and poor posture in new moms, these include, but certainly aren’t limited to:
-
The trauma of labor and pushing
-
C-section surgery recovery
-
Retention of pregnancy weight
-
Loosened ligaments
-
Cradling and carrying the baby
-
A hunched position while breast or bottle feeding
Postnatal Chiropractic at Atlas Specific can help new moms to recover from all of these issues and more. We also encourage new babies to get checked to determine if Upper Cervical Chiropractic is needed for recovery after the birthing trauma.

Danielle has been wonderful. She made a huge difference with my prenatal lower back pain and other issues.
I would recommend her to anyone going through pregnancy.
